My parts won't be here in time to slap my whizzer together. So I'm gonna miss this even though I was hoping to attend. Missed it by about one week! I'm jealous
Racie,
I'm bringing two bikes. You're welcome to ride one of them. If you don't mind a chopper you might enjoy riding 'Captain America'. It does take some getting used to but after a few miles you'd be okay.

...... my truck, a new Dodge van and my hot rod. The rod doesn't have air conditioning and I drove it to St.Louis in July. Coffee was the last thing I wanted. Cold water, which I drank and poured over my head. :) The temp inside the hot rod always hovered in the triple digits.

Tom,

Come stay at the local casino. You'll find that I'm the guy who's responsible for, among other things, keeping your heating and A/C in good working order. (Not always easy, I might add)

I'll keep you on ice, pal!

Blue,
That's another thing we have in common. I put 35 years into the HVAC industry before moving into facility management. I worked for York, Trane and Carrier. There's another member, Timboliner, who does A/C too. Haven't heard from him for a while.

My specialty is a bit different. But I deal with RTUs enough that I can replace a belt, look for a compressor leak or wiring/relay issues. Stuff like that.

And I'm proud to say that I know how to go get the roofing material and lap sealant. And then patch two or three gouges in the roof when an RTU panel takes off in the darned wind and cartwheels across the roof.

Ah, yes.....good times...

Did I miss it? I looked back but I didn't see what time we're supposed to meet up. I'm driving up from Collinsville, about a 3.5 hour drive. What time should I set my alarm for?

I was thinking around 10am. Do a meet and greet and then have steak and fixins for lunch or we can do our cruise right after meet and greet and then have steaks and a few drinks when we get back? Makes no difference to me and if some guys get here a bit earlier..that would be fine to. I will have coffee made for any who needs that morning jolt of joe.

Thanks, Ray.
That gives me a schedule to shoot for. If the info from the Internet is correct I should be pulling out of Collinsville about 6:30, to 7:00. That would put me at your place about the right time. I have a room for Saturday night in Canton so I can rest up for the drive back to Collinsville before I hit the highway home.

I'll let everyone else decide on the ride/eat schedule. I'm good with anything.

Tom when you go east through Kansas look for the free land signs, we saw them in 2004 somewhere in the middle of no where, the sign said "FREE LAND YOU OCCUPY YOU OWN". This was along the interstate 70 I believe.

Don't worry about bringing food as there will be plenty to eat and drink when we decide to start grillin.. Just might want to pack some drinks and snacks on your bike for the cruise.

Feeling a little envious of you guys. Sounds like you have a great event going on and I hope it becomes annual. Maybe someday I can attend and then go on to the east coast to visit family and friends on the east coast. Stay safe, take lots of pictures and video and know that there are a whole lot of us looking on and wishing you the best.

Thanks for the well wishes. Going to be a great cruise I am sure. I plan to get as much video as my camera batteries will allow. I will be sure to post some hopefully good video of our meet and ride.

I have a go pro with a handle bar attachment, but only an 8 gig micro sd which is good for about an hour! Was hoping to grab a 64gb, but haven't had the extra cash due to some bills for the car! I'll still bring that up and see what I can get as well! Friday I am going up to Nauvoo, Illinois where my bike is at to swap the jug because of a stripped stud. Going to have to fully port another jug.... Great! But it'll get me running right!

Bills for cars is something I can relate to. My youngest daughters 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse just stopped going into gear the other night. Shift the automatic transmission into any gear and it is just like the stupid thing is in neutral. It is not slipping...just does nothing! The transmission has never slipped or acted up...so I am really hoping it is an electronic shift module or something electronic that is acting up and not something inside the tranny. Whatever it is...it is sure to be $$$$.

Not familiar with Mitsubishis, but my car is known for something called limp mode with the transmission solenoid going bad and malfunctioning. Could be something as simple as a couple cheap sensors honestly.
