Actually if your MP3 charges though a USB port/connector a USB port only puts out 5V at 500 mA.

I'm not sure I'd wanna chance testing it on my admittedly overpriced MP3 player as the power is hardly regulated, I outa get a cheesy $10 one frm wallyworld for that heh, but thanks for reminding me Kevlarr!
