Thanks Ray, it's a well thought out bike for a factory bike. I've only cared to make small changes to it, mostly just to personalize it for my street riding tastes. Recently I bought a sporty new rear shock that lowers the rear an inch. I've lowered the whole bike now about 2 inches front, and rear. Who needs 10" of travel on the street? It has a very comfortable ride for a fast bicycle. Like a marshmallow cannonball.

Looks promising to me. Has lots of room for a big battery. I like a big honking hubby, with power like a V8. No shifting, no clutch, just twist the throttle and feel the juice.

Yesss!! My cells are rated for 25c for 1min, at 74v24ah you can do the math... will be pulling much less.

Gonna use a quick release bolt on low shock mount to play around with settings when I get er running

She needs a date with mr flap wheel :D

Thank you. It is fiberglass over foam core. I stuck together 1.5 and .75” white foam sheets, cut to rough shape with heat, sanded smooth, covered with aluminum foil, then glassed over currently with 2layers mat and one weave, but it’s not done yet. Been really darn busy!! And weather needs to be 65+ to ensure a good cure. If I were to do this again I would get my foam CNC cut before glassing.

I try to challenge myself with each build. I been wanting to do a full suspension Chicago Schwinn for a long time.

Lol I guess a build thread is in order.

From the video, it looks comfortable and fast. Love the color red too.

I might as well chime in: Have switched to the ebike as a forum of my daily transportation about three years ago, it my ride to work that I get paid for doing with the rideshare program. Every quarter I get $70 and two days off with pay every year, its paid for the bike. Minor maintenance and a solid battery have really made this bike a pleasure.

I still enjoy the gas bikes and own two that really dont get riden, one has no pedal and was recently built as a bike I wanted to take to shows and putt around the neighborhood.

I Might do another ebike more along the lines as a fast street tracker when I get around to it.

Pro-ebike for me!
 
WOW I like gas and electric so there is SO much for me to love about the bikes posted on this thread. When I take my wife to California to show her where I grew up, I am going to go see some Venice Motor Bikes up close !!!!!

I can't wait to get in the saddle on a Sondor and a Venice Beach Bike ! My wife and I are just now planning where we want to go and how we want to get there and when ? It's all good
 
Price and performance aside, I find this to be a very interesting time for e-bikes. It reminds me of the pre-1920 motorcycles.
-So many types of motors, controllers and frames are being offered.
-There are so many companies offering e-bikes. Some are huge, like Yamaha, and other e-bike companies involve only a hand full of employees.
-I don't look forward to the time when the e-bikes are all pretty standardized, and a few large companies have gobbled up the more innovative small companies. We must enjoy these times while we can.
 
My two months experience with an e-bike has been nothing but positive and I've ordered two more setups for use on my mountain bikes as a result. Seventy one years and rather worn out knees prompted these modifications. I pedal assist 100 percent of the time for the health benefits I'm looking for and my knees haven't given me any problems along the way, while I can feel my legs getting stronger. I'm still a gas bike guy but now also really appreciate the continuing trend to electrics, both are huge fun!
