well, it seems like my bike just keeps getting more and more problems if i ride it more and more, today when i tried it out it started out fine. and i drove a little. but later when i was gonna try it out again it just wouldnt start. i check if there are a spark. and yes there is. i check if i got gasoline. yes i do. so for me it seems like the fuel wont ignite or something. but what do i know...

Is your choke lever on the carb up or down when you try to start it???
Put it down, pedal as fast as you can, "pop" the clutch & keep pedaling while "milking" the throttle lever.... it will start!!!

Also, mix your gas / oil at 24:1 for the break in!!!

the choke lever is down, so it is off, and i did pedal and milking the throttle lever forever today, but it wouldnt start. can try again tomorow. and is the 24:1 oil mix in gallons. if it is. please tell me what it would be in liters.

Try taking your spark plug out and to see if it is wet. If it is wet, then it may be fouled out. I have had fouled out spark plugs that will still spark, but not good enough to run the engine. If your plug is wet, try putting in a new correctly gaped plug before you start messing with anything else.

Cabinfever - that may be true for your bike, but as I think he's flooding it trying to start as it is I don't think making the mix even richer is gonna help. That's a good recommendation if he was getting partial ignition but then it'd sputter and die. I only mentioned that because although my bike runs great through the whole range and I've got my mix as close as possible - it flat out hates the choke and wont run with it on, not even sputter - even bone cold. I just use the primer to give her some and that works fine. *shrug* I could be wrong, alla these bikes are a lil different with a personality all their own lol

dytesaft - Is your bike even trying to fire or nothin' at all? As others have said, check for spark and fuel - should you have both it should run. If you've flooded it badly, holding the throttle wide open while turning the engine over sometimes helps to get her to fire.

Most of all - speed counts, pedal up as fast as you can before letting the clutch out and keep pedaling - these magnetos are awful weak and at low speeds they don't put out much.

Choke lever.. Remove the 2 screws holding the air filter on the carb.. Check the choke lever.. The nut might be loose and it might just be stuck at full choke but you'll see the lever as all the way down thinking that its not choked..

AIR FUEL AND SPARK.. Thats all you need.. So im guessing thats your problem if you already changed spark plugs..

Good luck man..

It Wont Start!!!!!!!!!!! /cry!!!!!

i checked the choke to, and it works just fine.
i pedal up the hill, press clutch and pedal down the hill as fast as i can, i bet i drove around 30-40 km/h and release clutch. but nothing happens still, when i reach the bottom of the hill. i keep on peddaling untill i got exhausted. but it wouldnt start!!!

Here's my next suggestion... Maybe the clutch is slipping & the engine isn't really turning over while you are pedaling???
(this has happened to many people before!!!)

Make sure there is a little slack in the clutch cable, & make sure the engine's actually turning too!!!

When your peddling with the clutch out you should hear the motor turning over. It is a different sound when the clutch is in.

with clutch engaged, the bike runs like normal, but if i release the clucht, the stamp, dont know if it is called that in english,(the thing that compress air and fuel and then ignites it) anyway, with clutch out, the stamp goes up and down. it almost sounds like the engine is running but it isnt. so i am pretty sure the clutch is just fine.

check your kill switch. the wire might've come loose or been damaged, and it's grounding it out. that would explain all your problems. (happened to me, that's why i'm suggesting it...)

Check out the big brain on Baird!!! :D :D

Yep... disconnect the kill button & see if that works!!

i was ten miles from my house on saturday, and my bike died. tried for 20 minutes to start it and it wouldn't. my kill button is mounted under my seat, and i hang my kryptonite lock from the seat springs. the lock had moved and was pressing on it...

just disconected the kill switch, but it still wont start. could it be something wrong with my carb? like the carb isnt "feeding" the gasoline and the air in to the stamp so it can be compressed and explode?
