What I remember bicycle touring (no engine), when it was Summer and it rained, you just wear shorts. If it is not that cold, extra rain gear just has you doing extra work.
 
I saw that on Gizmag as well Wheelbender and I wondered how effective it might be. Mind you at $99.00 each for the basic model I would want the thing to be totally perfect in every way ;)

My faithful old trike has a wind/weather screen that I purchased from China for $30.00 post free and so far that has proved to be useful enough, but I will admit that it's very old school and not hi-tech in the slightest unlike the one on Gizmag.

 
But of course. Why do you ask? :)

This is an individual who thinks that ging up an Alp in winter isn't enough, so he went to the Nordkapp in Norway on that bike in winter.

He is a family man these days and cannot go gallivanting off on his own.

He now has a converted 4wd ambulance which has been winterised.
