Thanks, Ludwig. A bit of background info is always nice.

Something I noticed on the flyer at the top. The price of those bikes was 330 to 340 Reichsmarks (Reichsmarken, I suppose, to the Deutsch).

I don't know how to compare Reichsmarks to Dollars. But, if I remember right, the old Deutschmark, just before the Euro, was worth about a half a Dollar.

If so, and if the Marks are comparable, then that Torpedo cost about 2/3 of what a Model T of a few years before would have cost. In America, anyway.

I'm not at all certain of my accuracy there. But I do get the feeling that those bikes were not inexpensive at all for the folks of that place and time.

Exchange rates of pre 1939 currencies are available, I'm not hunting them down. Price of a fair example of the type now is somewhere about£600/$1000-ish.

Liked the folder back there; bet that's one baddass Raleigh 20. The one with
the Grimm engine & skinny latex tires. The front friction drive Meant one had
two-wheel drive on hills, but the handling was probably a tad dodgy.

The tank on the Grim has me wondering whether or not to abandon the chrome box tank I was going to put on my Genuine Fake. I can get steel domed end caps in various sizes.

Correct, you have won today's Virtual Golden Coconut Award :)

It's a display piece more than anything, registration here would compromise it too much.
