like the sachs/diamante. It wouldn't be too difficult to
fake a replica with an old Dutch oma.

Yup. That's the beauty of the Chinese engines. They mimic the shape, if not the engineering quality, of the old Sachs/ILO motors.

Actually, Small Engines Warehouse here in the states has quite a few
new old stock Sachs for sale cheap. I've been tempted to buy one for
some time. They don't quite look like that of the Diamante, but hey, a
Sachs is a Sachs. $130, 90cc, 3.7 hp.

Raleigh/Mobylette or Peugeot are reasonably available here. If it came down to it, I could even do what I've seen on a thread on here, and cut the transmission case of a scooter engine.

Bown Autocycle. To me, they encapsulate a poverty stricken grey country, climbing to it's feet after a major war, and have all the glamour of yesterday's breakfast. Some people love them though.

Another Itom Tourist, under a Rudge cycle. Neat little thing, isn't it?

Polish WSK bike and Gnom engine. You may think it looks like a copy of a Velosolex, I couldn't possibly comment
