Engines

So I'm a newbie and want to make a motorized bike so I've been looking around for kits. I know I want a 2 stroke for a fact but I don't want a low quality engine. I'm want to know which engine is the best one to buy. Is the ZEDA engine a also chinese engine? Also would the GT90 performance kit be interchangeable with the other chinese engines? Please help me out. Also is a 66/80cc engine 66cc or 80cc?

The ones reffered to as "80cc" are either 66 or 69cc depending on the stroke. All the cheap bicycle 2 smokes are made in china.

So, all the 2 stroke kits are the same quality. The racing engines are the same quality as the cheap engines. I'm not against made in china engines. Honda engines are made in china and they are great.

They aren't all the same quality. Multiple factories are printing these out. Some of them have ancient molds so you will see many casting flaws. Other factories might have newer molds and tighter tolerances. I'm sure most use child labor, so hopefully it was made by an adult and not a 7 year old. Newer designs have much less vibration. Lots of the ebay sellers are dumping old stock that vibrate horribly.

Know anything about the Runwell PK80s that are starting to show up now? Appears to have thicker counterweights than the Zeda.

Yeah its 31mm. Have heard a lotta hype about it being super smooth. Next big thing I guess. Been pretty pleased with my Zeda.

yeah, not sure that 40mm intake makes any diff at all on non-modded motors - have PK80 and A80 here and while PK will pull better down low, it also has a bit of annoying vibration at low speed too, so I'm happier with the A80
