I quit counting after I passed $2KYeah, right. I bought the Black Panther and have a Schwinn Phantom Springer Fork.
These builds are fun but can be money pits!
My first X used to tell me that I loved my '64 Chevy step side truck more than I loved her. I told her that wasn't true that I loved them both equally. LolYeah, be pointless then, committed once the engine gets bought!
I build for me, not to sell, never make profit!
That 224 is no joke. Way better on torque than the 212. A 212 aluminum flywheel and 212 camshaft (since the original is plastic and doesn't hold up to rpm) you'll have a screamerThere are a-s-so many 212! He I, non hemi.
Cast iron flywheel, machined aluminum flywheels!
After reading the specs for each one the Briggs is the over-all choice , but at 1k!
The Ducson, Tollostin and factory predator are close in price.
Ghost hits that 6000 rpm and mid range in

The cam is plastic in the 224 and tends to break with higher rpm. Iirc a 212 camshaft fits. The flywheel is just a safe guard and allows for more speed in the future. I recommend if you replace the camshaft and flywheel to punch out the governor gear rod and put a bolt in the case and properly bypass the governor. You say the 224 has good components? Camshaft and flywheel?
