Carb recommendations

I’m so tired of trying to find the right jet for my carb that won’t be too rich. I’m looking for recommendations for a good carb with an air fuel mixture screw. I just have a regular china girl. Thanks

I’d try to find the right jet first before swapping carbs. You can fill a big jet with solder then drill it to the size you need.

I’ve heard good things about those tillotson style china knockoff carbs. I can’t confirm or deny fitment however.

No. I’m not good at soldering. I would just like to get a better carb.
You don’t have to be good at soldering all you have to do is plug up the hole. Nobody who does wiring is good at soldering their first time. It’s easier than making a new carb work. Well you’re the one asking, I gave my best advice, well I tried and that’s all I’ve got… good luck

I appreciate that but I’m looking for a carb recommendation

Years ago I bought a Whizzer that had one of those Walbro carbs with fuel screws... I couldn't for the life of me make it run good!! :(

Finally I gave up & swapped out a cheezy Chikuni carb onto the bike, & with a simple jet swap, I quickly had the bike running like a champ!

What you do is you make a plug of solder in the orifice of the main jet and just re tap the hole with a needle and working your way up. Welding files in the blue case, you find on ebay for $1.99 have the size orifice file needed to port your main jet.

Better carb for what?

Cruising lawfully down the road NOT attracting unneeded attention getting the bike nazis to crack down farther,

or better as in I'm gonna keep it on the track and be responsible?

An air fuel mix screw is only gonna get you so far. You're still gonna need to play with jets. Just take the smallest jet you have and start drilling the size out until it's right. Jet drill bits aren't super expensive.

You are sooo all over the board you can't see straight... (slaps you sober like daffy does porky)

Ok since you don't know how to read post do this...

Start with original carb and jet. (Nt with a 70 main jet)

Go w.o.t. and do a plug chop. Adjust your jet size or needle setting accordingly.

You are going down a huge rabbit hole. Start with stock parts and work your way up. The direction you are headed is probly not going to win you any friends or much friendly helpful advice.. trust me.

Spend just 2 hours reading forums.

Magical Jedi powers,you will have.

19 mm minirelli with a manifold adapter, reeded and windowed piston AND a third port cut in just to anex the whole power band. jet it at 75 and go up.

Update: I purchased a Runtong 2 Stroke Tunable CNS Performance Carburetor V2 and it worked perfectly right out of the box! Other than having to adjust the idle, it’s running great! Highly recommended!
