canine senior dementia?

been having some problems with my dog milo. about a week ago things seemed to have just changed over night.

today i took him to the vet, physically they could not find anything wrong. the vets diagnosis was senior dementia.

i have to say, he does show many of the symptoms.

but how could he change so drastically over night?

have any of you experience senior dementia in dogs? some friends say dogs dont even get dementia? I dont know I never heard of anyone who talked about this about dogs.

im just wondering if this vet is wrong, i dont want my dog to suffer but i dont want to do something that i will regret.
 
I lost a little buddy to brain infection. The only warning I had was one day of bad temper, the next day he was unapproachable. The vet said it was an infection he could not treat.
Hope your guy does better
 
wow. thats so sad to lose a doggie like that. my heart go's out to both of you. i had almost had the same thing happen to me but it was my wife. you never get over loosing a good dog never. i still cry over my lost dog's forever sad. dennis
