Allright,

So you will need my machined steel tube that fits the bearings
and retainers, without the clamshell welded to it, to weld into the frame at a given point.
It's the parts sourcing for the right hardened gears and related parts & such are what is costly.
That shaves it down $20 to $179.

Good Mornin' =-]'

Well,
as life would have it, I'm not going to have the website finished this weekend with prices.
Life just gets in the way sometimes when you are trying to get something off the ground.
I'm also still waiting on some small parts to finish Bobber #001 and get it ready for photos
for the web site's grand opening. I have sourced out many other cool parts & accessories
that perform very well which I will be selling as well. It's gonna take another week to get it
all together.

But as I said in a previous post, if you just absolutely can not wait and are serious about
purchasing this Bobber Kit, shoot me a PM. I'll be glad to go over it with you. If you are just curious
and just want to know what they will go for, please refrain from messaging me at this time and wait until the web site's debut in about a week or so. I have some serious interest already both locally and afar, so I am going to be gladly starting production soon!

Thanks!
'Brett

this is a very cool Idea.Very similiar to a bike a friend of mine built. He's going to be building me a custom chopper bicycle that we will incorpirate a motor mount on so i can install a engine in the future.

Props on the work you are doing.

Here's a pic of my buddy's bike.

Mine will be similiar to this one but taller.

Very Cool!
Hey , who's your buddy..?
I've seen this bike before, way back in another forum.
I really like the design of his springer fork, and the split tube frame.
I thought about going that route, but the cost starts going up dramatically.
So, I thought I'd keep it simple and inexpensive.
Heheheh! It's funny, the similarities now. Back when I first saw that one on some "unmotorized"
bicycle forum, it wasn't painted yet. We must've been thinking alike. =-]'

Ah yes...iRide
Very beautiful, painstaking trophy quality builds of bigger dollar amounts.
I love their work. I just don't have the time to build customs like that.
My builds are geared more toward "get on and ride the **** out of it"...
That way, I don't cry so much when it gets dented or scratched.
I'm more of the Spartan, Less Is More, mechanical background builder.

WOW
In my shop, that would be Pay Dirt!!!

I took off the freewheel on the stock OCC stingray hub
and screwed on a 5 speed freewheel.
I will be selling a 5 Speed Freewheel and Low Profile Derailleur Kit
on my site to go with my Jackshaft Kit as well.
Also, a Special Speed Shifter. =-]'

Stay Tuned

Actually,
My bike is a "stretched" chopper, from a standard bicycle stand point.
The wheelbase is nearly 5 feet long. It doesn't look like a big bike because is of its'
near perfect proportions, but trust me, it will fit a rider as tall as 6'-3" comfortably.

That jesse james bike is sick man! I like it. You should make a stretch chopper one day. That would look sweet! (c)

I wanted the look on the drag bars, that are coming in the mail, to be as clean as possible.
Annnd, I didn't want some ordinary plastic switch or cheap toggle that I would probably break off.
So, this one gave me the look and the function I was looking for.
It's set up just the opposite of your description, Gene.
To start the engine, you flip the cover, turn on the switch, and then lay the cover back down on the switch toggle. When you want to kill the bike, you just smack the blue switch cover. Also, you get the benefit of a permanent off switch instead of a momentary kill button.
The wires are also hidden in the frame for added security.

More than meets the eye... =-]'

Where do you buy them? From NASA I think. It has a protective cover so you don't hit the switch in an emergency by accident or during one. hmmm Could be used to launch Stinger Missiles but as far as an Emergency Kill Switch I think that this could be a new application that needs to be looked into. Ya think?
