The current state laws are kind of contradictory. This is just my interpretation of them, one says its fine to certain cc displacement and the other law says they must be treated as motor vehicles.
I live in Mesa (shoot first ask latter) and I have had no problems with the local authorties. I've ridden past numerous officers, pulled up next to them at stop lights etc. My son rides his motor bike to High School everyday and he has never been questioned. I plan to keep my bike quiet and ride safetly, obeying all the traffic laws, its a great way for my son to learn the rules of the road before he gets behind the wheel of a car. Go to the web site and dig a little, see what your interpretaion is.

man I wanna take a road trip this summer, and was wondering where to go. Now I think I might throw a couple of bikes on the bike rack, and visit AZ. It would be cool to go when a ride is planned or something. I wish we had more riders around here

I'm afraid I must tender my resignation as an Arizona rider.
I moved to the Houston area around the first of the year.
The movers loaded up my motorbike at the beginning of Feb
and it is still in storage until April (long story).
I'm glad I made it to a SpookyTooth death race before my company made me move.

It will be interesting to see how long I am able to ride the streets of TX before
an official encounter with law enforcement. I would like to commute to the train park and ride, about 10 miles away, but I I have not been able to find a road with a low speed limit (30mph) that will get me there. My china girl is quasi legal on roads with low speed limits.

I still own some property in AZ so maybe I can retire there.

I envy you guys in Arizona; I live in Maryland and I feel like it's a matter of time until I get pulled over here and my bike gets confiscated. The gasbike laws in Maryland are somewhat fuzzy. We're big on income and property taxes, and short on tolerance for anything that appears to deviate from "normal".

There are too many people crammed into this tiny state.
