Instead of turning left on Greenfield and taking LaCresta up through Crest, I recommend taking the I8 business rout to Old Highway 80 and intersecting Arnold Way.
LaCresta is a killer hill, quite literally. It is steep as heck with alot of blind corners and cars drive it like they are on a race track. There have been many wrecks and deaths on that short stretch of road.

The rest of the rout would not be too bad except there will be alot of sections that have no bicycle lane. You will be right lane'n it with traffic at 55+ on your left. Bring plenty of extra innertubes! There is alot of crap alongside those roads.

So the meeting place is pb pier at 10am? Route is irrelevant to me really, if I can fix my clutch handle before tomorrow morning ill be there. Got it steel-stik'd together right now, ill check it in a few hours.

Also gotta check on my idle, it had a leak at the bottom of the jug a while ago and I've only ridden it once since I tried to seal it.

Isn't that what we live and ride for? Eventually we will all die. There have been many more wrecks and deaths on Balboa Ave. and I ride it everyday.

But yes Dan, the old HWY. 80 route is a lot less taxing on these puny motorized bicycle engines that assist us. That is a good suggestion and we will more than likely go that route if people show up.......if they do indeed show up.....

The weather is looking good so far, I had a great ride today!

It was a fun ride thanks for putting it together for all of us to enjoy. Weather held out for us for the most part slight misting on those turns ;). Had a blast, my wife is not thrilled with the gas bike but, my smile when i get home is worth it for her. Did you get video of the spill? Started with 4 ended with 4 lost one one the way. .wee.
