Anybody built one of these?

Very cool. I'm over 50 so the 'scope comments give me the willie's. The Dr. didn't find any aluminum shavings nor did he find my car keys, I asked. The drugs they give you are pretty whacky.
I'm really looking forward to updates.
 
Next I've got to drill the hole for the petcock. Where? I think in the front.

Yeah but when it got down to the nut cuttin I changed my mind, and put it in the rear. It just looks better back there. I didn't like the idea of a long gas line draped from the front of the bike across the motor.
 
After drilling holes for the gas cap and the petcock, I blew compressed air into the frame to clean out the metal shavings. Then took another look with the bore scope to see what might be left in there. This time I was able to stick the camera a little bit behind the seat post, and look what I found!!! There's a condensate hole that leads back into the rear frame stay. It doesn't lead into the seat post tube though.

There are holes between all the frame joints.

Joker Machine is selling a solid seat tube with O rings to seal
the seat tube so that presumes that there are holes into the
tube.

They said that they were having some leaking into the seat tube
without the O rings on the Felts even after sealing the tank.

I didn't find any passages from the tank area into the seat tube. Here's a look at the seat tube from inside the tank. My video at the last part looks inside the seat tube from top to bottom, and it doesn't look like there's any openings except down at the bottom bracket.

If you don't seal up the rear of the top tube, will fuel fill up the seat stays?
Can you fish a wire past the seat tube and into the seat stay tubes (with visual guidance from the bore scope of course)?

I don't think I can get anything past the seat post. It's way down there. It was real hard to even get that little peak at the hole behind it. I could probably stuff something like steel wool into the openings on either side of the seat post tube.

I wonder if the Caswell would just fill the whole area around the seat post if I poured it down there and held the frame up? I'd rather not stuff anything in there if I don't have to, but I will if it comes to that.
 
Whatever we decide to do, I guess I'm ready to swish some alcohol around in there, and wash it out with the hose. Then it can dry overnight.
 
I poured about 2 pints of alcohol in the frame, and I noticed some coming out the bottom bracket. It got down there through the front down tube. I guess I'll have to take the BB apart before sealing.

This isn't going to be as easy as I thunk. It's not possible to prevent some sealer finding it's way into the front downtube. I can only keep it out of the steering head, but there's still going to be a small passage into the downtube.

Then we got the rear hole behind the seat post.

Member HBLOCAL aka John pioneered the Felt tank sealing process.

Steel wool with liquefied JB Weld poured over it.

Search and yea will find.

I won't patronize that sorry as$ website. It's not the members, the owner. He can sux my tailpipe.
 
I'm not that worried about this anyway. The most interesting man in the world calls me for advise. I'm the one that told him about XX.
