80 cc power lost question?

I have a 80cc motor that runs great except I've noticed it dosen't have the power it use to have going uphill. My 49cc has more power going uphill.
I have cleaned out the exhust pipe and muffler. Still runs great on level ground, but still no power going uphill. The torque on the head seems tight enough....no leaks.
Any thoughts....or shall I replace the motor?

The head dosen't seem to be leaking or I would see oil.

How many miles you got on that engine?

Maybe it needs a new plug?

try a new plug cap and wire its like under ten bucks to test it out other than that loss of compression somewhere you just feel it up hill

A "loss of power" could be many things, even as simple as a dry chain believe it or not as there's very little power to spare - but even if you've suffered a loss of compression you don't need a new motor - simply get a new head & base gasket and a set of rings, pop that cyl offn there and replace: http://motorbicycling.com/f39/motorized-bicycle-engine-top-end-rebuild-297.html

I found most of the problem.....a lose spark plug! It has several hundred miles on it.

ahh the old loose plug i remember after being quetioned about my motor kit and talking about how sweet it is then trying to peddal off and start with a loose plug that is embarassing cause its hard to start and it dont run good
