79cc fan cover

Will it hinder and/or alter the way the engine performs if I drill some lightening holes/cosmetic holes in the fan cover on the 79cc predator?

The pull start vented cover?

Other than maybe structural integrity to brace for the pull start forces I see no reason more air/ wire holes would hurt anything.

Did a little work on it today....

I cut out a good chunk of the bottom on the last 79cc I built for crank clearance (pedal crank that is) with no probs whatsoever.......you can make swiss cheese out of them if you like!
