20 inch bicycle build

nice work, Ive had thoughts on doing a 20" bike since I built my first bike back in 2009 and still haven't taken time to do one...

What tooth number sprocket do you have on rear wheel?

I was thinking about using a 30 or 32T if I motorized a 20" bike.

the bike is turning out real good looking.

Another little observation. Yesterday I was riding and had forgotten to turn on the fuel. I switched it on while still rolling and when the engine fired up this short little thing pulled a pretty big wheel stand. So be careful it can surprise you lots.

I have a 32 on it now and just ordered a 28 for it.

Kool, well that may put you it 30mph without any other changes.

and if the extra noise wouldnt bother you, adding an exhaust that flows better and hetting the carb foe it would likely give you several more MPH if you wanted even more.

Jist drilling some extra holes in the end cap on yhe stick type exhaust has added some noticeable power and a couple extra MPH on some engines I've run in the post.

Well tuned carb and free flowing exhaust has always made a huge difference when I wanted to get all an engine was capable of without more internal work.

But, honestly I bet 30 mph on a 20" bike is gonna be sipping right along...LOL

I look forward to hearing how well the 28T does on your setup.

I seen that and it looks good and if a little more noise wouldnt bother you, you could drill about four 3/8" holes in the end cap and potentially get another 1-2 mph out of it and you may notice it gets to tip speed a little quicker also and will pull hills a bit better.

That was my experience so just sharing.

You did a dang good job on that bike... I really like the way it turned out...!
 
I am putting a little better spring seat on it along with a very small luggage rack on the back that should look nice on there. This is the third and best one I have built. Surprised me how well it turned out.
 
Also everyone needs a place to carry a 6 pack.

I really like the looks of your bike... Ill have to say just as someone else said in and earlier post, that bike makes the little china girl engine look right in the frame.

It all simply works well in every way in my opinion.

Really nice work...
