I've always wondered about these mag wheels as I too have problems with spoke wheels going untrue and breaking apart! So.... is it because you over-abused these wheels that made them fail on you? Or do you think that they just don't hold up well overall?
I beat my bike hard, failed due to abuse tbh.

I got my wheel done today here are some pictures of how the wheel looks after TIG welding, should hold up considering the amount of added aluminum. Will update again if it cracks or snaps completely.

A short video showing the wheel in motion, you can kind of see the flat spot but it isn't that noticeable. Couldn't bend it back because it would have just weakened the wheel that much more.

Around 50+ miles later the wheel is still holding up very well. No further cracking in that spot. Last week my wife and I did a 28 mile round trip crossed crossed 6 towns. Second to last trip was 11 miles only problems were the chain stretching and the fuel petcock came loose and I lost about a liter of fuel I was pissed because Klotz is 15 bucks a quart.

Even though when mixing my fuel at $4.73 a gallon its still better then using a car ($2.86 for shell nitro plus to stop knocking and $1.87 to use 4 oz of Klotz). It seems to get 30-40 miles per tank depending on how you ride it.

All in all it was simple fixes, I corrected the petcock with tools that I carry in the pack on the handle bars and readjusted the spring on the chain tensioner when I got home. All is well now even did another 8 miles today. Not to mention I put 7 miles on it daily going to work because my van only gets 10 mpg.

Well sucks all my pictures have been taken down guess photobucket is useless nowa days. So once again I was messing around with my bike adding a half link to the chain and I looked at the rear wheel and it cracked again on the opposite side of where I welded it. TOTAL JUNK. This will be the last summer I ride the bike I cant find wheels that hold up they don't exist under the conditions I ride the bike. Next year I'm buying a on/off road dirt bike.
