Though I have many friends there as well; the staff is gone to a whole new level of incompetence. Either a staff member made a mistake or a hacker attacked me for constantly reporting spamming. Regardless, it has me wondering if I even want to go back on the other forum; especially if it was done by a hacker. I'm now questioning as to how secure any of your personal information is there.'

This was a post from the previous member Sidewinder Jerry who had been a member for 13 years.

Mistakes happen. What took a day and topic with 5 replies to figure out here turned into a thread with nearly 200 replies that’s still going today with all sorts of juicy trash talking of this forum by a bunch of people who don’t build a goddammed thing.

I guess that’s what their off topic forum is about, as that thread was there which is not visible to non members until it was moved. Just a whole lot of small talk and trash talk too… all talk no builds.

Well they might have one or two Bicycle Engine Kit Assemblers

There's no point in arguing. There's no doubt in my mind anyone who's been banned there had their chances, and were banned there for good reason. Being butt hurt over being banned there is just further proof of why you're not there anymore.

All that was was a simple statement. No rebuttal to anything said. I wasn't arguing anything, just stating an observation.

Actually I HAVE a thread here on being banned from there, I pretty much returned for about 5 minutes a couple years ago after quitting back in 2018 or so and it happened fast.

Instead of chit chatting and replying as fast as you can, why not slow down and search, read some things. You won’t learn or hear anything if you spend all your time on the forums talking.

I read the entire thread over there. I read you have a problem with screentime. I have been struggling with this a lot since Covid and have developed strategies to help reduce it. Let me know if you would like some help with that.

I've been here since 2010 and I've seen your argument play out far to many times and then the person was banned on the other forum for no reason. They were always welcomed back here.

As for being "Butt Hurt" how would you know? I'm 81 and I learned decades ago to pick my friends very wisely and there is no argument involved on my side. I'm just telling you what has happened many, many times to people who have been on both forums and what may happen to you as well.

Regrettably most of the old time builders on here have stopped or at best slowed down due to age. Enjoy both forums and add what you can. This forum will be here to help any upcoming builders and they will read about what you've done.

I agree there has been some people that were banned that didn't exactly need to, but every situation where I've seen someone banned they were in clear violation of forum rules. Things may have been different before, however as of now I don't believe there's been any 'uncalled for'.

There is tons of good experience and information on here, and that I much appreciate. However most of the people here build bikes one after the other, and I simply can't afford that. Yes, I may be inexperienced in your eyes, but I'm not new to building things either.
