That looked like he had it rigged with fireworks!!
Thanks for posting. I had an electric Chinese made Mini RC Helicopter explode in my kitchen and I can assure you That that e bike wasn't rigged with fireworks. It almost set my house on fire. Those batteries short out and its a serious and horrid Explosion then a hot dangerous fire follows. Its a real worry on these batteries we all have in our pockets with our phones now. E-cigs, E bikes, kids scooters, kids power toys, etc. I cant shake a bit of real fear from Lithium type batteries after witnessing one of these even small batteries explode and burn like nothing else. It makes fireworks look pale. NOTE: Most happen from charging and getting over charged due to malfunction, but if a short happens it can go Blewey too. One has to trust that the Battery is Mfg right and the circuit to prevent over charging is working/
PS Also at 40 sec looked like a N Korean missile test. LOL

The silly thing is it's generally illegal to store infernal combustion engined bikes in residential building because of the fire risk, but electricity is "respectable".

Yea gas can still go Kaboom, but is more predictable and gas fumes let one know something is wrong, whereas an Electric LIPO battery gives 0 warning. Hopefully in the future new technology can prevent all battery fires. I saw a tesla tearing the road up tonight, dang it was scary fast. Like it or not Batteries no doubt will replace all new gas powered vehicle engines in the future.

This is why I'm still wary of those so-called "hoverboard"-type things that look like mini-Segways without handles. I saw one catch fire downtown a little while back, and I've heard they can detonate also, but I haven't seen that.
It's so monumentally important to have a LIPO battery that is made rugged and well; it has to be installed in a design with adequate cooling and you have to watch for excessive draw, and probably many other variables I don't understand well enough. I've seen that the cheap stuff is not worth it. What you save in dollars up front you may make up for in a hospital bill later.
