Hi Silverbear....Sometimes it takes the" in prime of your life people" a little longer to getting around to complete projects when playing around with several of them...all different from each other......Regards DD

Hi Tigmaster Sorry for the long time reply I havent been working on the Excelsior as I have another major project I'm trying to complete for our spring in November...Had to move it out of the workshop this morning so I shot a few pics ..will work on it in the near future ..not much to do to finish......DD

Wow! DD, that's fun! I expected it to be louder? Those short tubes always sound like they are blowing bubbles. Those early motors sure had a choppy sound, suppose it was the long stroke? Compared, your's is smooth as silk. Nice.

Hi Moto pope.....The engine is 250cc ...125cc a side...couldn't expect it to sound like 1000cc....theres nothing like early 500cc plus motorcycle engines with open exhausts...I was always at the dirt speedway watching the solo's and sidecar sprint raceing in my younger days....most of the race engines we had here in 1940-50's were J.A.P 500 singles and 880 Vtwins.....DD
