Hi,

Old Columbia 3 Star ready for motorization! Please! Pimp Me out proper!

I would like to motorize this bike and hide some fuel in the body moldings or put a little tank on the back rack, I saved the bike from the dump and it has been hanging from the roof of my barn for some years now. I want to do a chain drive and will look around for the most suitable power for it. If anyone has suggestions I am proverbially "All Ears" . Nice to meet everyone with a common hobby and interest. Now that is a beautiful bike to restore in to an MB!
I vote for a home brew Briggs engine in it. Preferably an old Briggs engine.
If that's not a go then I vote for a HF79 mounted vertically using VeniceMB mounts with an EZM drive. Sportscarpat seat post fuel tank or similar.

I wonder if the machine ever got built...........

Haven't delved that far back in the archives...maybe someday I'll gather my safety gear and mount an expedition!!
