Just so everyone knows, who doesn't already know, this is the premier motorized bicycle racing event in all of the United States, as far as I know.

I have seen talk of other venues around the country, but have not seen any race result postings.

So if you are within driving distance of Lancaster, and have a bike that goes down the street, you should seriously consider driving out to this track. The 2 stroke beginner class is very competitive, if your bike can last for 8-10 laps, you have a legitimate shot at a trophy.

Its also just fun to meet and greet with like minded individuals and share motorized bicycle stories, wisdom with others.

Willow Springs also sports some race history going back to 1953, with a larger car racing track that may have an event the same day.

So come on over and lay down your best lines on the gokart track, its all about the apexes.

Who's showing up? The usual group?
I'll be in Friday afternoon to tune up and camp over. Temprature looks good for racing.
I'll be there & probably will be running the unlimited class because my gasket kit was ordered a little late. I'm not 100% with my bad knees and a case of tennis elbow on my right arm but I'll try to give you and Scotto a run for the W!

Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to miss this race... A few of you already know that I got a bad arm injury a couple of months ago & I'm still not well enough to race. :(

I'm hoping that it's well in time to make the next race. (^)

Unfortunately, I will not attend the Willow April 12 race, I've been dealing with a back injury that happened earlier this year. I should be ready for the next one.

Sorry to hear that.
The next race was at Grange on May 31st and may be canceled depending upon how many racers will commit and pre-pay for all future races.

Socal Motor Bicycle Racing is membership only from this Saturdays April 12th race.
Only members get to keep a race # and other stuff to be discussed this Sat at the riders meeting.
We are kinda starting over from scratch.

I am sick as a dog with some kind of crud and hoping I kick it by Friday when I go to the track.

Still sick but I had my day made when Sam our starter called to say he and a flagger helper are making the race coming from near Grange! :)

Sam does a great job starting the races and is helping out in the morning signing up you racers / checking safety gear.

Weather is looking great for race day this Saturday at Wiilow, 80* or less.

Neil,
Is over night camping allowed at the track?
Of course camping is allowed right in your pit area at no
extra cost.

$10 gate fee on Friday covers you for the whole weekend.

I arrive Friday and camp overnight along with the regulars like
scotto, nashmoto, Arrow so we can be up at 6 am to get on the
track at 7am to practice on Saturday.

I highly recommend that you arrive on Friday to have the full race
experience. ;)

The gate gets locked at about midnight on Friday.

Willow has a special deal on Friday to practice on the go kart track
for only $10 extra from noon to 5pm.

There are no RV hook ups in our pit area but a few way over on the road
to the ovals.
