Texas Riding Blog

My wife is from there.
That looks like the same kit I got, with the exception that mine came with the CNS version 3 carb, which I have replaced with an NT carb because the clamp broke on the CNS.
Cool. lol
It likely is, standard Skyhawk GT5 slant head 66cc kit.
I went looking for the Gen 3 carb, couldn't find it. I have the CNS epa carb...ew. :(

Works well enough for now though. I wanna replace the spark plug with something more substantial though.

The CNS gen 2 carb isn't too bad.
The choke is kinda awkward I am finding...having an issue with lean running and 4 stroking..yes...you read me right. lol

My bad, East Texas.. Tyler specifically.
Here you go:

11 Huffy Good Vibrations cruiser, 11 Grubee Skyhawk. :)

Looking good in Tyler

UGH! The tire I ordered on Amazon to replace my bad one is not going to get here till the 19th. that is the longest I have ever had to wait on anything on Amazon. Until then, no motorbike. I guess I can use the time to improve some of the things on it. I've been wanting to...?

I just ordered 2 tires yesterday from this place, and the tracking says they'll be delivered tomorrow. 2 Kenda K-Rad tires for $50

Wooooooo hooooooooo three whole days with no real problems. I'm soooo stoked looks like imma be riding for a while with reg maintenance \m/ now if I cud just figure out carb issues lol - I'm hoping to get a day off work soon so I can play with it a bit more - 3-4 hours of daylight just don't seem long enough

Haven't seen single police since I've been back on the street. Rode good 20 miles looking for one. When I see em ill let you know how it goesdance1

Yeah but, where I live in north houston are police are little iffy. Got pulled over and searched( put me in handcuffs and stuck me in back of car saying they were detaining me) and questioned ridiculously while driving home from and doing absolutley nothing wrong. And I was in my neighborhood about a block from my house. And I was in my car that time. Was told they thought I had a warrant but it was my luckyday b/c they couldn't get any information on it. Which I might add was total bs b/c I have and have had no warrants. In my town you don't do 1 mile over speed limit or you can expect a ticket. When I get closeer to where I work 5-10 over and they don't even look your way - matter o fact they prolly passing you at about 90 when speed limit is 65
So I'm not sure what to expect yet ;)

I rode all over Dallas never had a cop do more than glance at me. They got a lot bigger fish to fry than someone on a MB

Thanks for these reports. Good to know what's going on in other parts of the state. As far as Dallas goes, I concur with George. Dallas cops couldn't care less about motor bicycles.

Bonus - just got my helmet I ordered from ebay \m/>.<\m/ full face with windsheild and build in retractable sunshade ;) gonna make me look a lot faster than I am hahahah

I agree on the motorcycle helmet making people take a little more note of you. I have an HJC IS33 that I wear when I leave the neighborhood, but when running around the neighbourhood (mainly for tuning) I usually just wear a multisport helmet and safety glasses.

So far the police have taken no note of me here in Kyle (south of Austin). When going through town I pass directly by the police station, and rarely get more than a glance.
