Nice tires, they look good for around where you're at. I've got big mixture of road and gravel around here so I would need to find some good knobbies.

Hello O P. I have charted bike routes and posted events for motorized bicycle rides in Dallas and Mesquite, but so far, haven't had a big response.

I think you mean a reference to police brutality, but it kind of makes a pun.
It makes me think of how fond the gov is of sending tickets in the mail, or collecting people for missing court dates they never knew they had.
A friend of mine got a ticket for "assault" in the mail once.

I've gotten harassed by trolls on Amazon and Facebook for promoting motor bicycles. There are some really nasty people too! Usually dog-fanatics and "spandex warriors". Some were comments "don't ride those bastardized things on the trails" but weren't very specific, regarding if they were complaining to me or just taking a dump on my page because they didn't like mabs.
Also, When I first started looking into the Texas Laws about MB's i found this thread on another website. It is about a guy in College Station getting multiple tickets.
Anyone else seen this?

I am about to build my first one. Just ordered the Grubbee Skyhawk GT5.
I am currently commuting to work 1 or 2 times a week 16 miles each way on my road bike. It takes me about an hour each way.
I think I may be able to do it in 40 min. on a MB. Which is about the same it takes me to drive.
Anyone else seen this?

That guy was ticketed by the college police a couple years ago for riding in a bike lane. He challanged the tickets in court, and I believe he said they were dismissed.
And here's what cops see from behind. They don't bother me that much here. I will give you one important tip though, STOP AT ALL STOP SIGNS!

That's good advice, IMO. It's even more important for motorized bicycle riders than it is for regular bicyclists. Not that it's any more right or wrong for us, but we definitely have more at stake than a typical bird-flippin spandex warrior lol
I've been pulled over twice for not coming to a complete stop on my motorized bicycle. Didn't get a ticket either time, but it was all definitely a waste of time!
If you read more of that string it was brought on by some marauders that souped up their bikes way past legal and were tererorizing the campus hot-dogging if I remember correctly.
Whether it's a motor bicycle, or just bicycle, we have to follow the same rules of the road. It's safe to assume we come under greater scrutiny. If you're young, even more so.

Has anyone else experienced drivers stopping in traffic to stare at the bike? Two times today, people have slowed or stopped to stare at me. One woman stopped right in the middle of a 4 way stop, blocking my lane. I had to wait and go around her in the next lane. I think they are confused by the helmet light. It's nothing super bright, but maybe people are so uninformed about bicycles they've never seen a motor assisted bicycle or a helmet light before. (Hunt County Texas)
