I have decided to use my experience in custom fabrication to start designing and building custom fuel tanks for the motorized bicycle, I will post a pic of a finished tank soon so you can see my work. The tanks will be made from 18 gauge steel so it will take a lot of damage in an accident.
The tanks can be made to your specifications to fit your bike like a glove, i.e. tank length, width, height, and curvature to fit your top tube like a glove.

I still have to work out some of the details before knowing the final price range, there are some things that would affect the price from one tank to another. There will be at least three different styles (Hopefully) if you would want it painted or left in primer to paint yourself. Thanks for the interest (especially the offer of quality testing) lol
.duh.

sounds awesome i will definitely keep this in mind... (depending on the pricing of course lol)
Thanks for the interest, I intend to try to price these so that everyone can afford it. I tried to find it for myself but there seems to be nothing out there under $200.00 with any decent quality.
I believe I can change that. :p

Just a suggestion. Make sure it holds at least 1 gal of gas. And while your at it, put a reserve tank petcock on it. Good luck on that one.

Okay, I have been able to determine the initial cost on the tanks, The base price will start at $85.00, depending on what you want. This would include a plain Jane petcock and a plain threaded gas cap with tank in primer, ready to paint. Keep in mind that I am hand forming each tank so the price is incredibly low. For the reserve petcock, add $12.00 and a vented gas cap add $15.00, for paint (single color) add $10.00.
I hope this answers many questions and alleviates some of the suspense. I should be able to start posting photos within a couple of weeks.
Thanks for all the inquiries, and interest!

I'm going to try and upload this without any problems but my initial idea of being able to give customers the best I can offer is for them to be able to show me exactly what they wish to have made for their bikes. After filling this in you can send it to me via email, just left click on the pic and choose "save as" and it will download to your computer and you can then print it out or use your computer to fill in the information needed to send me your specs.
