Jackshaft made with pillow-block bearings. You can see a shiny hole on the 1/8" mounting plate which fits over a weld bead on the frame. The plate also has a semicircular cut-out on the bottom that the horizontal part of the frame insets into. These features keep the jackshaft assembly from twisting around the frame under stress.

Possibly a novel location to mount a tensioner/idler. The idea was to weld on the frame as little as possible.

I'm quite proud of this petcock-style 3-way switch.

I used to use a jockey wheel on my trike chain tensioner, are you running the bushing or bearings? if the bushing you prolly noticed its quite loud? As you prolly seen i am now running a roller skate wheel for a tensioner, the noise, well...there really isn't any IMHO far superior method than the jockey wheel... perhaps a future 'upgrade' ?

Thanks for the great comments, brothers. I knew I'd find kindred spirits here.
Today I tested the second string of batteries. I was able to get the ten I needed under the seat where I originally planned. It was a tight squeeze, but better tight than loose, riiiight?

What's my clearance, Clarence? I'd say about 3mm between the terminals and the steel "oil-tank" shell.

One of my cells in the first string came up zero volts after my last trial, so I am testing this second string in isolation. On this ride the front cylinder was just a bunch of pipes wrapped with painter's tape. Look how nice it fits on my new bike rack. Sweeeeet!

It was 95F at noon when I took her out. Thank Dog I wasn't pedaling like those other mothers, intent on dying healthy. Anyhow, this time I made it to Universal City. Here's the Juicer outside the Warner Brothers' lot.

Pumping up the tires got me a little faster, 37mph, and a little further, but it was hard to keep her in efficiency mode. Somehow the led wrist always gets the last word.

Thanks, brother Horse. I, for one, do not think you're crazy.

As for the Juicer, she is in pieces getting painted. I already miss her bare metal, but I want her to look store-bought.

Now with two parallel strings of batteries the wiring had to be changed to monitor the packs separately. Of course the connections had to be super-clean.

Did I tart up the most positive wire with braided expansion tubing? I most positively did.

wow. the sad and totally beautiful part is i was sitting here last night designing how to do this myself, and today i see this thread. I may just buy a n engine off you, since it looks like we're using almost identical bike frames.

So now the magic question is... how much you selling those engine setups for?

Fantastic result mate, one small thing i would suggest (you probaly already have something planned though haha) this needs a cover

Perhaps shape some acrylic plexi on your bench drill (if you have one?) I have used air die grind bits in the past and you can get cnc looking results pushing the plexi by hand around the spinning bit...Just a suggestion anywayz....Bike looks amazing going to get some ride video upped soon?

EDIT: Just thought of another easier way, pop 3 longer bolts in (the ones holding th 'T' shaped plate, pop on 2-3 nuts to act as spacers and simply cut one more identical shaped 'T' slide him onto the bolts and pop on some nuts to hold in place
