Vintage Inspired Air Filter Cover...

I was looking for a vintage looking air filter when I spied this old filter from an 1950's clinton engine...a it was too long to clear the frame initially so I cut it in half with a dremel, silver soldered the original base cap back in place, filled it with new filter media, then drilled new holes for the carb. mounting screws....Pretty simple fix for an old school looking filter!

that looks really good , that perforated shell looks pretty cool on there , and i like how you colour matched the stipe with your fender .

Very cool looking! I think leaving a weathered sticker like that in place would work on some vintage looking builds as well! Awesome idea and implementation.
 
That's one of the best looking air filter housings I've seen. Good work and thanks for sharing it with us.

Oh. It's that Higgins Cruiser. Right. I knew that. I've drooled over that one before. Lordy, that one was a looker before, he's just puttin' icing on the cake now.
