where can i get a motor under 200 watts??

Well i live in australia and can not ride my old china girl anymore so need to get a pedal a ASSISTED motor under 200watts for my bike??

Any idea's would a weed wacker be under 200watts

1 Horse Power = 746 Watts

200 Watts = just over 1/4 HP

Whoever decided upon a maximum of 200 Watts must really dislike motorbikes.

I would think 1KW or 1-1/3 HP would be a more reasonable limit.

All but the tiniest hobby engines are rated for more than 1/4 HP.

You would need something like an early 1900's thumper to be in compliance, and they were too heavy to work in a bike.

I feel your pain...I don't think you're going to be able to find an engine. You'll have to go with a motor and a battery. 200 Watts should produce somewhere between 8-12 MPH

hey mate. i dont think a petrol motor producing under 200w would do anything. ur best best to stay legal is go electric. my mates got a 200W electric bike and it goes bout 20km on the flat with no wind. its alright uphills but needs a lil help.
the onlything i dislike bout electric is having to charge it.
 
Thats not right at all if it was me I would tell him to go F him self.Then have a stun gun lay him down then
kick his nutts in let him feel like crap but thats me.I may be a small guy but have took lots bigger men than me down to my size after you do it to them they start to understand people a little better.I done it back in school it work then and it work on my job one time too he turn out to be an ok guy after I brought him down to my size.If you don't
do that then I would just move piss on folks like that..rd.

yea cauce the cops are now telling everyone riding a china girl that they are a motorcycle becuase you can pop in the clutch and go and are not pedal ASSISTED motor under 200w only electric would fiull that spot!!
 
there is a site from australia rotary bikes --www.rotarybike.com it is not a rotary engine like a wankel but a rotary valve built now in china after 1950s british cyclemaster design(an in wheel engine).cargo.cargo see the moped archives
the aus co has under 200 watts engine

this thread is old but rocksolid engines has a variety of different engines including a street legal 200w certified engine, but it is more expensive then a modded 70cc one ..., literally saying that if you wanna be street legal you pay the price,

im in no way trying to pick on rocksolid here, in fact i am about to order a kit off them, YAY!!!!!!
