ok, when i go to turn on the engine, it takes a long stretch now and when it does start and even with the clutch in, when i rev it, it turns off. any ideas??

Maybe the oil settled in the gas tank? & Did you ever replace the plug, wire & boot with good ones?

nope didn't replace them and i shake the bike to mix the oil before every run

I get my plugs from Checker autoparts store

could be a plugged up filter on the petcock or some crap stuck in the jet or fuel air needle in the carb. Also that brass tube that the jet is screwed into could have came loose.
