throttle stuck

Only screw the top part of the carb on 'hand tight'!!! If you use a wrench the tighten it, it will distort the carb body & the slider will get stuck!

Also, there is a little pin that is inside the carb body, it needs to be in the slot on the slider to hold it straight...

do you mean the screw on top where the cable comes thru or where the carb gets connected to the engine? because if i connect carb to engine and turn it pretty tight, the slide is getting stuck, so what i figured out is to not tighten that screw like i would normally do. anyone had problems like this?

Tightening the carb to manifold clamp, or the manifold to cylinder nuts -(2) Should not distort the carb. If you overtighten the top it can.

The screw on the side of the carb is an idle speed screw, so tightening that will make your slide stay way up there.

Are we on the same page? Also, make sure the slide is in the right way around.

I think he had his idle speed screw turned all the way in(the screw with spring on the side of carb). If thats true then he can just turn it back out til it idles lower.
