The Great Race

    The great race started in Jacksonville Florida and is going to Michigan. They stopped in Newnan Sunday for lunch, we had a large turn out to welcome the racers. Two local girls are in the race, the driver is 16 and her sister the navigator is 14, they are in a 63 Plymouth. There were a lot of very nice cars, here's a few of the cars.

    Cool. I used to go to the movies at the Alamo theater on that square.
    I'd love to have that Studebaker Hawk.

    WB I was standing across from where Kessler's was back then. The cars came from the south up Greenville st. And turned into the north court square.

    I would occasionally get a Hot Wheels car at Kessler's back in the day. I can't remember the name of the sporting goods store on the square back then, but it was a great one.
