Happy New Year, Bruce. I can't wait to put 2012 in the rear view mirror.
Please don't shoot your guns in the air on New Years. A kid in San Diego lost her life from that.
I have a small 40 caliber canon for such celebrations. I pack the muzzle with only a little black powder and wadding.

My next door neighbor has a Civil War replica cannon that he made from scratch himself.
No joke, the only thing he had done by someone else was welding the butt cap onto the end of the DOM tubing he used for the barrel. 1 inch bore too. All built to scale from original blueprints. Some years he fires it off at 12am, sometimes not.
