Tandem with chain on both sides

The tandem I want to motorize has a chain on both sides of the bike. Will that make the install that much harder than the others? I will have to do some frame re-work so I am wondering if I should just sell this one and picl up another one that will work better?? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks,

The tandem I built had multiple chains (on both sides) and it works great as you can shift gears using the engines power....
