Side pull caliper or drum is no problem. Discs won't work because of the movement of the fork. If you want disc brakes on the front you need a solid or telescoping fork. V-brakes are possible but you have to figure out how to mount lugs, though I seem to recall a post on here referring to some pre-lugged custom jobs. I hope that helps.

100% incorrect LoL.. I have disk brakes on my springer you must fix the calliper on the rocker not the fork tube, calliper can go either below or above the disk too have done both in the past ...
Hey Venice Carry's a very nice front end and he has the adapter I recommend his forks I think he has two versions a standard one and a reinforced version you just have to decide witch one you can afford
