spare parts cruiser

the LAW NEAR through the book at me i didnt have a ticket at that stage ,long story short i was a mechanic couldnt drive so no job had to get around and started the motorised bike thing and many people pulled me up to build one for them so i did and with a ticket back now i still into the bike building each day lol...anyway the police dyno'ed the bike and way over lol so they charged me with many things no helmet driving un rego no ticket no insurance and speeding on a motor bike ?the judge said why shouldnt i be jailed i told him i was on a bicycle with peddles i showed him a picture of the bike and in the end give me a month jail suspended lucky me and ordered i could get my bicycle back within the month ...with the mounts i cut the front engine 5mm and drill and tap new thread s then with back i use a halve mount with a small performance intake manifold so i can then put a air cleaner on as normal fits snug but good only problem if you need head off the whole engine got to come off....xx.

I got a new top speed of 75kph but straight after the engine developed a knock and after stripping it down the big end bearing has alot of up and down play so I changed the crank to a spare new one I had.i also picked up some new parts im going to make a manifold for the 125cc carb, heres a few mock ups of the new exhaust I think I like the 3rd one the most but the 1st one has the best clerance

Nice pile o parts you got there Dan! Next time your not doing anything, build one and sell it...

nice chamber not sure about carb working out but good luck and did you hurt the 50cc ufo head too

I don't think the carb will work either but ill still try it, the piston slightly clipped the head and I couldn't get another one the same so I lapped a stock head

that pipe looks like the business and is it the fatty they call this one ?your bike is looking the goods well done

thanks mate, I think its called the stainless wave pipe or snake pipe.the bikes all back together now if the rain stops I can test it tomorrow and see how it performs against my homemade pipe

I got it from my local dealer its for a 49cc pocket bike I had a look on google I think its called the jet pro pipe, they are $70 but he gave it to me for $50 coz I buy a lot from him

i got to test ride the bike today the rings still have to seat but i gave it a couple of quick squirts it has abit more torque and gained a lot of midrange and top end i cant wait to wind it right out. its also a lot quieter then i was expecting its no louder than a stock silencer but sound heaps better

I got this weird bike for $30 to use the 3 piece crank and forks for the cruiser. I was going to use it for a 125cc build but something's not right about it, its not a cruiser, chopper or rat rod what the **** is it? I cant find it on google.

i pulled the reeds from an old pocket bike and found a alloy brake calliper tool i made at school. im going to try make an adaptor, i know the rse reed kit is $65 but i enjoy making things myself

At first glance I thought, that's the ugliest thing I've seen in a while. Then I started thinking about Tijuana and all the good times to be had there... you should drink tequila and look at it for awhile, then make a plan. lol
It does have some things going for it Dan; you could open up that frame and put any motor you want in there, disc brakes, I like the handlebars, and from the altitude of that thing, you'll be able to see all the way down the street!
I'm sure someone here can identify it. I curious to learn where it came from.

If you want to keep the parts and get your money back for the frame send me a P.M. I will take it if you dont want it. All the best Keith

it does have some good things going for it but it just doesn't pull it off lol. im sure with abit of modding it could be a cool bike I think a 125cc pitbike motor or twin pocket bike motors would fit nicely

I finished the reed adaptor I made the whole thing with a drill, chisel and a dremel. I can test it tomorrow but im not expecting and real gains until I add a window to the piston and maybe some boost ports

good work of your reed dan well done and that bike looks to have alot of thirty buck's what a great buy ...so how is the cruz'a going now with the pipe you put on her

thanks mick, the cruisers going great its gaining more power and top speed with every ride as the rings seat so far im at 65kph with 120psi compression.im real happy with the pipe it has good torque even with the 36t and the midrange and top end pull is awesome

Cool bike and fun to see it evolving to where it is now. I'm curious about your gas tank (which I like a lot)... how did you form the top part or was that cut from something already that shape?
