Short video walkaround of my updated lighting system

Finally, after a lot of trial and error I have my lighting system just the way I want it, well almost. Being able to charge the battery off the motor would be nice but not important and I have something in the works for that for sometime in the future. :D

Enjoy.

Any idea how many lumens that 3watt led front light puts out? Does it light up the road, or just make you legal and visable at night? Just wondering because at 30mph at night, it really helps to be able too see where you're going.

Oh it definitely lights up the road. From what the ebay sellers say it's about 160 lumen.

The biggest improvement I've found is using the drivers instead of trying to run through resisters and such to drop the voltage. The driver keeps a constant current going to the LED with an input range from around 4v-9v for a single LED.

Although if you really want to be seen forget an LED altogether, jump up to 12v and go for the Xenon HID kit for motorcycles. lol

Well of course...HID and say no more. But 160 lumens from an LED isn't to shabby....nice job!
