Hmmm.... Looking at the electric kit, I wonder how difficult it would be to make a hybrid using 3 chain rings on the crank and a shift kit, 2 or 4 stroke.
Will the freewheel used on the electric motor handle the torque of being used as the final sprocket on a shift kit jackshaft?
 
You probably would want an HD FW for that. But a hybrid is doable. With a 20+AH battery and just a tiny bit of pedaling the electrics have darn good range, with a gasser hybrid that you kick in away from town, it would be a pretty cool set up, but not very stealthy. With my electric people don't even know.
