hey guys/girls please help me out, the bike runs fine when idling (no bogging when revved) but when i disengage the clutch the bike moves about 5 mph but has no power to accelerate just bogs out.

Help us out with a lil more info....motor type? Does it rev up or just bog out? New build? Has it run fine in the past? Sounds like it could be an intake leak, but hard to tell with so little info. Im sure someone will be able to help you out with some suggestions, just need to know a lil more in detail

good call ,sorry. its a grubee skyhawk . cns carb. new build. my buddy built it originally for a mutual friend but didnt test ride it or work any kinks out. so our friend gave up on it , i bought it off him to get it going. anyhoot ! we use 25:1 break in fuel. new ngk bp5hs spark plug. wires are connected ,checked and double checked them. billet intake , carb is fully over the intake and tightened. it idles nicer than my other bike and it runs amazing.

Ahhh the famous CNS carb....well assuming that the problem isnt something simple like a slipping clutch ( it wouldnt bog tho) my guess would be that if you have upgraded the plug already, it a carb issue. I personally have no experiance tuning the CNS carbs, but they are notoriously finiky and tough to get right especially if its the newest version (V2).

I would start with removing the carb, dissasembling it to ensure that it is proporly assembled, and with the help of the "Carb installation and rebuild" thread on here (it is stickied in the Intake and Exhaust section I believe) proporly tune the carb. Also search CNS carb to find out how others have solved their issues as I know that there have been problems with a vaccuum line on that carb. Its hard to tell without hearing the motor "bogging" but bogging is generally caused by an improper fuel/air mix in the carb.

Check out that thread and let us know what you find, or any new symptoms.

I just completed a build with the new CNS carb and had the same problem. I got advice on this forum to remove the rubber tube running from the breather to the bowl. This had an immediate and dramatic impact. It runs great. I still have to do some fine tuning but I'm waiting until break-in is complete. Give it a try.

Why is this carb so difficult? Why do they still sell this P.O.S. ? Just get something else and put this THING to rest! I am running the DAX Deloto replica, and could not be happier.......... NUF SAID
