Rubber Drive Roller?

I just got a brand new eho35 from staton, and am doing a custom build. I want to do a friction drive since it is most practical for the little 12" scooter I'm gonna put it on. I've seen the rubber rollers for sale, and I was wondering if these have any advantages over knurled steel, and if they are any good.

Steel Rollers with a Diamond cut pattern with deep grooves work well wet and dry. The Rubber and like kind smooth rollers only work well dry and slip like the dickens when wet. Keep that in mind.. and.. Enjoy the ride..
