Rocky & Bullwinkle news...

hey Rocky,,,watch me pull a rabbit out of this hat !!! :) (^)
Some years ago here in Colorado there was a news story about a snowmobiler who was chasing a moose. The moose, having had enough of the harassment, came to a sudden stop and the guy on the snowmobile rammed him. The moose then turned and attacked the guy. He survived but had some injuries. (he deserved them)

Th news anchorman who was reporting the story on a local network affiliate chimed in with this, said in a pretty good Bulwinkle imitation, "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a guy out of my a**." The rest of the half hour the cast and crew of the news show couldn't stop laughing.

But the chain of restaurants are I think down to 1 in OR and 2 in WA. I can remember in Santa Clara, CA back in the 80's the show with the characters, the arcade, and the water light show while having lunch.

Seems that the chains at the Family Fun Center they call them now have as much and more, bumper car ride.

I have some tokens and ink stamps with the characters from back then.

Hokey smoke! They had a restaurant chain? Moose & skwerl hit the big time! I still think they're funny after all these years.

At a tag sale, I scored stuffed likenesses of all the characters. Still in a box but gonna be hung in the shop this spring.

Natasha: Boo hoo hoo!

Rocky: Hold it, Bullwinkle! That sounds like a lady in distress!

Bullwinkle: So?

Rocky: Gee, didn't you ever read the Hero's Handbook?

Bullwinkle: I can never get past the picture of General MacArthur on the cover.

Rocky: Well, Chapter Two says we should always help ladies in distress.

Bullwinkle (to Natasha): Hi, there, lady! Are you in distress?

Natasha: This dress, that dress, who cares? I'm distraught!

Bullwinkle (to Rocky): Do we help ladies in distraught?

In the fall of 1962, Jay Ward, producer of the Rocky and Bullwinkle show, decided to campaign for statehood for Moosylvania. Ward sent Skip Craig to Minnesota to buy an island in the Lake of the Woods. Craig wasn't able to find one for sale on the U.S. side of the lake (most of the islands in that lake are claimed by Canada), but managed to lease one for three years.[2]:195 Ward and publicist Howard Brandy conducted a west-to-east cross-country tour in a decorated van,[3] gathering signatures on a petition for statehood for Moosylvania. While in Washington, D.C., they sought an audience with President John F. Kennedy.[2]:199 However, they arrived at the White House during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Ward was escorted off the grounds.[4]
