Found this rather humorous account of the early days of motorcycling in England and Europe. Lot of English terms but it gives you an idea of just what an early motorcyclist went though no matter what country they were in.

The English in it is old fashioned and appears to have been mangled in translation as well. Some years have become miraculously transformed into words like igoo and igig. Presumably they mean 1900 and 1919.

But I stand with Ixion in my command of the English language. Like him, motorcycling has proven that I know many, many, more than 3,000 words.
