RESIZE YOUR CARB JET IN 5 MIN

I figured out that you can resize your carb jet with a small roundnose chisel that will fit inside of the jet a small tapping device and a tip cleaning brush kit.

Set the carburetor jet on a hard surface then you put the Chisel inside of the Jet and give it a couple good taps, enough to sort of Squish down the brass around the opening of the orifice.

Next you take your tip cleaning kit find the appropriate size that you want and use it to gently ream the whole out.

It's not super glamorous and it may not last forever or work for you necessarily but it does work.

I dont have 20 bucks to blow on bits and 58 is way to small 68 is the size and you can't get to Amazon in every instance.

This is a quick fix. You can use the tip cleaning rods to clean the hole out to the size you need no need to buy anything.

Assuming everyone doesn't have that chisel & a tip cleaning kit... They might as well just spend that money on a micro-drill set (& do it right the first time).

Your method is not very accurate and rough estimate at best to get the correct jet size dialed in

But if it works for you, then good for you.

Im a single parent with two boys 17 and 15. Both are 6'6 and weigh 350+ lbs... between clothes and food I am lucky to have enough to pay attention.

I work with what I have at hand. A broken micro screwdriver and a 68 gage cleaning tip gets me close enough. I bet you I am 68.5 max. And it worked like a charm first try. I didnt smash it closed, i just dimpled the hole and ran a 68 tip cleaner through it.

Whats the diff between a t.c. and drill bit?

Ones ribbed and ones threaded...both do the same thing on soft metal. You guys are to used to buying your stuff...

These are the other jets available... Expensive but worth it to tune just about anything... What's the difference?? A quality jet is going to be consistent and work with the other components... So if I go up or down I'm doing it consistently... There made from a better material so it will keep it's tune and not wear into another size... Also my .68 is .68... Not a .675 or whatever... I'm replying about them not being available and just bought or am in the process of buying these... NYC scooter is another source for jets...
