I'm looking for a cdi that will last longer than a few weeks. The power it makes is less important than the life span. Tired of it crapping out on me all the time! I ride maybe a mile per day,mostly because I'm not sure if it will die on me.
Looking for some real options.

nothing wrong with standard CDI - they are sometimes soldered poorly inside and fail, but that is a workmanship problem rather than design

mine is 5 years old now and still going

some years ago, a few kits were coming with a 490ohm mag instead of the 350ohm and those had a tendency to blow out CDIs, so measure to see if you need to replace the mag
