i never messed with the pull starts before, because i imagined it would be a time-consuming, frustrating nightmare. wow was i wrong. it's really easy BUT i did run into something thats easily remedied.
after putting the washer and nut on top of cone (blue C arrow), the cone wouldnt turn. i'm fairly strong, so i figured something was amiss. the cone was mashed down onto the magneto screws (A). i first tried taking the flat washer off of the mag screws (B), but it still was rubbing against the screws. alot less, but still rubbing.
i put them back and took the flat washer from the top nut off and slipped it between the flywheel and cone (C RED). there wasnt enough threads after moving the washer to put another on top, so i just threadlocked it.
