This is my test of actually using a brushless motor as an 3 phase alternator... 1 ground a/c 1 spark a/c and 1 accessory a/c
You can see my ground wire looping inside for spark
And a second test cdi I had laying around just in case it fry's like grilled cheeseers... :)

It is spinning the brushless motor with hardened pinion gears I will test and see if she lives when no rain

Hmmmm I'm not sure I figured a brushless motor is the same concept as the coil we have for stock magneto, a spinning magnet with a 2 phase coil ....

Brushless motor has magnets that spin around a steel bundle with copper wire..... I couldn't get my first test here to run I'll try a stronger/more expensive/more well manufactured brushless motor coming...... The red one was el cheep ooo motor

I'll get a alternator working one day if it kills me...... To anyone fallowing my alternator threads...

Pretty much what I want lol ^ I might switch to Small car alternators next for testing...bug-out bike needs POWER!!!!...LOL

I thought that the bbr cdi would control the timing ? shouldn't it?
Say for example the big gear is 4-1 on the small one it should fire 4 times per rpm or 16 times... ???
I would get a 72cc 2stroke generator... And have separate engine for the wheels and electric power a trike would be easier...

It will be hard to do, the bbr cdi is built on the same concept as the stock cdi, it uses the magnet. Inside of the cdi resistors, diodes and a capacitor, once the capacitor is charged the "surge" of voltage when the magnet rotates by the coil triggers the discharge. There's a old thread here on cdi building, I built a couple about 10 years ago, it's called "roll you own cdi" you can learn a lot from that thread.

I don't know much about gearing ^^ and I can not read electronic schematics.......
:(... I have a slight learning problem

If it was coupled to the magnet with something made from aluminum or bronze... Not having any effect on the engine ignition... Then it's about how much power does it take from the engine and is it going to handle the rpm and what it puts out... Under drive or over drive... It's like when you use a factory water pump pulley on a hi RPM build... It turns so fast the coolant doesn't stay in the radiator long enough to cool and wears the pump out from over speed... A larger pulley fixes that but if you drive around normal it over heats from being set up for hi RPM...

Figure out your electric demand first and look at what makes that and the power to push it... 8-20hp and a alternator from a lawn mower might work... Then you'll have an electric start lights same as the mower and afford the 3+5 hp loss in turning a 65-100 amp alternator...

OK I put my stock coil and cdi back on, I changed the pinion gear to other side with this new skateboard motor with the pinion gears and a extra magneto cover as a short L Mount... :) I think this the winner
Just enough pedal Clarence..

This brushless motor is 3 phase

100% better I would think it would want a steady draw and a way to lock it into a high ideal RPM while charging and a disconnect for riding the bike at different RPM so the system doesn't surge or spike... Dual controls

A Regen hub to run the bike electric and the generator to run a beer cooler and a fan to cool down the engine idling...
