People laughing at me...maybe.

I was riding mb chopper with my son and we where at a signal light and another motorcycle ya guy on a harley BIG FAT ONE big guy too started laughing at me! Then I said what and he said what is top speed and said about 20 and then he laughed some more and then i asked him what do you get per gallon and he said 40mpg and I said I get about 150 mpg then he wasn"t laughing more he was asking me more info about the engine on it!!! wants people know about the mileage they are not laughing anymore that is what i think about when people are going tobe paying at the pump when gas goes up again it is going up as we talk about this so for everyone riding around town etc. just think it. we will be laughing back at them!! everyone out there keep it safe and cool

Interesting, to say the least...My kids think I look like "Pee-wee Herman". My wife tells me that people will think I'm that "creepy old guy" that rides the mo-ped. I think those opinions are the joke. Who cares! 5 minutes north and I'm out in the farmland. Riding along a little creek. Over an old bridge. Maybe stop at a little country convenience store for 50 cents worth of gas. I've put a lot of miles on bikes over the years. All types, road, mountain, old rice burners, you name it and I've ridden them. I've had looks and attitude from folks same as I have had guys ask a lot of questions about my ride.

Guess I'm at a point in my life where I don't give a sh!!t about what others think. Really, it doesn't matter... I'm having fun with a weedwacker engine strapped on the back of a bicycle. It's all good!

Heck with the folks that want to laugh!!,what it really is they want to do it too but they cant get over themselves, sometimes they are burned up cuz they spent thousands of dollars and you spent a few hundred and are having just as much fun if not more, correct me if Im wrong.Pappy,I like your bike too, like mine im sure it is a work in progress and you love it to death.
at the end of the day,I have gone where ive needed(or simply wanted) at a fraction of the cost of those who choose to giggle like children and ive had fun doing it.

yesterday, i was riding my falcon after the rebuild, and to see how the tensioner would hold up, then as i thought would happen, the tenioner whell slid down to the bottom of the tensioner, and my chain went between my sprocket and my spokes, so i slowed to a stop on the side of the road to fix it. in the process of slowing, there was a woman in her late 20s driving a range rover behind me, and got angry with the fact that i was slowing her down. she reached all the way over to give me the bird out of her passenger window. after i stopped i was thinking, "wow! how did she reach that far?" and i laughed..wee.

a few weeks ago I was running my bike through the neighborhood and I saw this group of Kids that looked fascinated by the bike. I went around the block a few times because I was tuning it in. After my third pass by I decided well they look like they really wanna check my bike out. I stopped and this snoody lil ten year old girl steps forward and says "why are you ridding that thing around here" I said because I'm tuning it in so it runs good she replies "well it's really ****ing annoying" I was shocked! So I said it's not hurting you or breaking the law and she says "Just keep it up and see what happens" WTH did she just threaten me? I said wow your parents never taught you any respect obviously, she proceeded to start cussing at me, so I started away and when my bike started I pulled in my clutch and dropped the throttle WAPPP!brnot

Yeeesh.. you want to fuel creativity and share what you've learned to create something that's REALLY fun and THAT happens. You can't win with Joe or Jane public.. even if they are kids.

Harley said it best,..."if ya gotta ask,you wouldnt understand!",we will always have haters, those folks who spent a wad of cash and cant get over that we are having so much fun and saving a ton of money at the pump too.oh well...,I get more folks asking me how I did it,one guy actually gave me 20 bucks after he flagged me down and I spent a good half hour with him and his wife explaining the thing ,Most folks think its a great idea, your always going to find the ones who will remind you that its not a motorcycle,I just reply...Damn,I got ripped off,I thought this was a fatboy...LOL,the immature kids? what are you riding? Daddys car? Most folks in town know me and wave,(Cops too)...Illigitumus non carborendum est...Never let the Bast####ds wear you down!! I sometimes pull into an establishment for a beer frequented by a well known MC
....No problem, the good guys respect us...Ride safe.
