Sorry to hear of your financial troubles Spunout. I have been there and it isn't any fun at all. You are very talented and should be able to land on you'r feet, maybe it's just time to take a turn in the road. I wish you all the best.

thanks. not taking the turn too well. almost in a spin and wiping out.

this is how i attatched the ammo boxes. simple.

now all it needs is the motor, which i'll paint black and white.

EDIT: EAT MEAT...no, this is a Whizzer tank

You left the handles on to rattle and remove paint. I used J-bolts to hold mine but I have 5/16" round carrier. KW

i didnt consider the handles rattling and stuff. thanks.

may just run a couple small bolts throught them, to tack 'em down onto the lid.

my original plan for the motor, was to paint it a shiny black and white, with as much attn to detail as possible.

BUT white isnt a good choice, with gas/oil/exhaust leaks and such. I also figured in keeping with a vintage-looking Harley theme, why not 'antique' (i'm secure enough in my masculinity, i can say that word) the motor.

so after the hi-temp semi-gloss dried, i set to it with 80grit, then 150grit. rough sanded just the fins so far. painted the exhaust, too.

gonna hit the outermost edges of the entire motor, when i have some more time.

other than that, i'm waiting for simpsonmotorbikes to send me a fuel petcock for the Whizzer tank. kinda forgot about that, until the last minute.

ABSOFRIGGINLOOTELY AWESOME MAN!!!!!!!!!!

"If I had a million dollars, (if I had a million dollars) I buy myself that bike...(Oh I'd buy myself that bike")

Sorry, that song kept going through my head."

Wow,I like it. Do you ever have any trouble from the police riding MB? I know I would in Woonsocket!! Is there a way to get them legal?

That what we're working on. It's a big deal here in the UK with penalties ranging from 6 months imprisonment to loss of license plus fine.

In reality - cops don't notice so long as you ghost pedal at cyclist speed and not leaving a smoke cloud behind you!

here in RI, they are 100% street legal. no driver license or insurance. they do want you to pay a little to register it....they got to make some money off them i guess. ive been here 8months and ride everywhere. not gotten stopped yet.

What do you register it as? Have you done it? You don't need lights?

i havent done it. the law defines them as "motor assisted bicycles" or "motorized bicycles". i dont have the law number in the house. yes, you need lights at night. rear red reflector or light at night. top speed 30mph. hand signals. call the dmv or look it up online

hahahahaha here's the instructions that came with this police light from Hong Kong, exactly as on the box. :

THE POLICE CAR LIGHT TRUMPET FLARING ELECTRLNICHORN IS FLXED TO THE HANDED OF THE BICYCLE OR THE PROPELLING AIDTRCYCLE. WITH THE PLASTIC HOLDER FIXEDTO THE HANDLEWITH BOLT'S ATTACH THE ELEVTRRC HORN PRESS BUTTON ONTOTHE RIGHT HOLDERBAR. THEN REMOVE THE COVER OF THE HORNBY LOSENING THE SCREWS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE COVER,INSERT2"AA" DRY CELL INTO THE BATTERY CHA MBER ACCORDING TO THE MARKS INSIDE. NOW IT IS READY FOR USE."

they really tried, bless their hearts.

anyway, got it for about $7 off eBay with shipping included. this thing is LOUD!!!

Very nice bike!
I'm gonna have to steal that ammo case idea. E-bike ppl are always looking for ways to mount their batteries lower. I have a couple of ammo cases I been stumped as to how where to mount them.
