Hello All! I am moving into the "unknown" exciting area of motorized bicycling! I am wishing to begin my first build with careful planning. Currently, I have no bicycle choice planned. I think I should begin with a friction drive as a first step. I don't know which bicycle choice is important, other than I wish it to be a multi-speed bike. I am planning for local road drives of about 15 miles round trip. I am not looking for speed, but economy and medium speed. Any suggestions? Advice would be very appreciated! I have a lot to learn.

Welcome to the forum. As far as bike choice you just have to use what best suits your needs. I prefer a cruiser style. I'm old and fat and the cruiser style works best for me. Glad you joined us.......................
